monday morning

hi to everyone. well, it's another monday, which means another week, huh? not sure if that's a good thing or not... just kidding - i know every day really is a blessing, in that it's just that - another day. deep thought, huh?! haha. really, i do mean it.
i'm sitting here with my coffee, typing, & listening to my little guy cry over the monitor, which he has been doing off & on for the past hour. he's teething. that started friday. ugh. he just can NOT seem to get himself to sleep for naps, & i just want to go in there & hold & rock him, but i know that won't help. he's NOT a cuddler. if i went to pick him up, he'd cuddle for half a second, then shoot up & point at the picture in his room & say "daddy!" like it was the most exciting thing ever. by the way, i'm also in the picture, but he's only interested in daddy these days - neat. i like to refer to myself as "the woman who lives here"!!! anyway, after he pointed to daddy, he'd give me a few kisses, hoping i would move away from the bed & towards the door! no cuddling would occur, & he'd be even more mad when i finally laid him back down. so THAT's why i'm sitting here in torture, drinking my coffee. i did treat myself this morning though & made foamy milk for my coffee & sprinkled cinnamon on top - that was nice. now if only i had a banana nut muffin from my fav bakery here... i won't lie & say the thought of leaving this screaming kid & high tailing it to get that muffin didn't just cross my mind! i know, i'm a bad mother, but it's not that far... (i'm totally kidding, mom - don't worry.)
