but then i got tired of it.

if you visited me yesterday, you saw a funky, foody background that i thought i liked, but quickly grew tired of.  like in 24 hrs.
oh well.
so for now back to plain jane white.
maybe i'll get to look around & find a more fun background this weekend.  but maybe not - we're planning to visit a new farmer's market in the area (yip, yip!) & maaaaaybe even make some homemade spaghetti sauce & pesto!  august is the perfect time for this as it's tomato & basil season.  every august we think we'll make a big batch of each & freeze them for the year, & every year august melts (literally) into september & no sauce. 
so hopefully this is the year.

ideally, we'd be making this with our own tomatoes & basil, of course, but maybethat part will come next year.

anyway, if it all goes well, i'll share what we did & our recipes in case you want to get in on the fun.

playing around with blogger...

and i kinda want to throw something through a wall!  clint & i both agree that somehow the guys @ blogger conspire with all the tech-y people & make you THINK you can diy all these things with your blog - oh, it's soooo simple, just follow these steps...  2 hours later, you're throwing things & thinking, "FINE!  i'll pay those crazy prices for some tech-y person to design my blog!!!".

ahem.

ps:  to any tech-y person that may be reading - i know doing websites take lots of time & your prices are probably fair & reflect your time + skills.  i'm just majorly ANNOYED :)

pps:  though it's not @ all what i was going for, i do like this new pattern & i guess it goes with all the food i've been cooking (& consuming) these days, so i'm making peace with it for now.
