new birdie

i love a black, white, & yellow combo - i must be my mother's child, as it's one of her favs, too. this particular idea started when ruth & i were looking through the new pbkids catalog & there's a super cute black, white, & yellow room. this birdie is a little funky. she's the kind of funk treehouse likes, so i will probably send she & a few of her friends up to nyc.

and lastly, i'm including this cutie pic clint took the other day. it's of my sweet baby boy sitting in our window, aka his new perch...

and YES, i know he's still using a bottle, but i'm having to do whatever it takes to get him to drink fluids with this allergy attack, so back off okay! (i might be slightly defensive about this, what do you think?!) in all seriousness, the bottle to sippy thing has been a bit of an ordeal, but that's another post...

*as always, you can purchase these, or see more items @ my store. click here - alacrity designs.

I thought Sloan would never learn to drink from a sippy. He just couldn't figure it out and he didn't like it and it was just an all around pain. I finally got those Take and Toss cups and for some reason he loved those and that's how I got him to stop. They made a 4 oz. cup that was a little ridged so it was easy to hold on to and he didn't have to tip it far for stuff to come out. But, don't worry - no child stays on a bottle for forever. He'll get it eventually! LOVE the birdie!

thanks for the encouragement, kelli! i guess i need to go get a variety of cups & maybe he will find one that he likes. we do already have 3 different kinds! he'll like one, then 2 days later have nothing to do with it! guess i just haven't found the right one yet - i'll try those take & toss ones & let you know...

I love love love your little creations!! I love birds, so this one is especially cute to me! About the bottle, be strong and believe in yourself as a mom! :) I need to listen to my own words! Maisie STILL has a bottle. She loves it and I don't see the need for her to stop at this point. But if there is good reason, like it will mess up her teeth forever, then tell me!!!!

You are a busy little bee! Loving seeing new designs. And you colors are getting bolder and have a graphic feel... I love it! Birds are so IN!!

Love hearing what HUD is up to... circling the kitchen, picking up anything but toys. Jake is into thee sour cream containers and a big cardboard box... oh, and a ribbon. Funny, we didn't have to buy all those fancy toys huh?

Same crib huh? The convertible crib was a NO BRAINER for us! Thanks for visiting our blog.
